The Qi Facial Gua Sha board is a great way to sculpt and rejuvenate the skin. It can help to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, de-puff and detox the face, support healthy collagen levels, move stagnant lymph, tone and lift, all while bringing more blood flow and nutrients to the face, so your face looks and feels fantastic.
Facial gua sha involves very gentle scraping/sliding of the gua sha tool over specific areas of the face in upward and outward strokes. This can relax tight or tense muscles and promote tissue drainage. This is a safe, painless and simple technique used to stimulate all of the tissues of the face and neck.
Each Gua Sha Board comes in a custom box with a linen bag for storage. Please note: these are handmade boards and the look of each board will differ from board to board based on the stone it was cut from.
USER TIPS
When doing facial Gua Sha, make sure to apply an organic facial oil on the area before starting to ensure the board slides easily and properly on the skin
For best results, maintain a consistent practice. It can be used daily or just a few times a week, whatever fits into your schedule. Each gua sha session can last a few minutes up to 10 minutes, depending on how much time you have on any given day. Gua Sha can be alternated with Cupping as well.
Can be used in combination with other facial tools.
The Qi Facial Gua Sha board is a great adjunct therapy to go with our Qi Facial Cupping set. it can also work well in conjunction with Facial Taping. A wonderful option is to alternate Facial Gua Sha and Facial Cupping, so you get a few treatments of each per week.
This is a natural product made from stone and is breakable so be careful with it, and don’t drop it.
The Qi Gua Sha board is made from Agate Stone. They are handmade and each board is unique based on the stone it was cut from. Gua Sha Boards has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. The unique properties of stone allow heat to be stored in the stone which can have a calming and soothing effect on the skin. It can also be cooled when a more anti-inflammatory benefit is needed for the skin.
Why use Agate? Agate is the workhorse of the stone world, slow forming, steady and reliable. Agates are like strong medicine. Agates have been used for ornamental and healing amulets since the Babylon times and were believed to endow their owners with strength, courage and security. Plus, they are just so pretty. :)
